Tried lightbox on test site but cant get it to work. Put link to open in new window without browser navigation and have updated the template Html. Already tried downloading mootools again but that didnt do the job. site:

Something has gone amiss because your source doesnt have the code that the module should put out.



The link should contain the rel attribute like this:

rel="lightbox" rev="width=800 , height=600" class="" >Lightbox

While your source has output the usual javascript open in a popup code:

toolbar=no,location=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=yes,resizable=yes,width=780,height=550

Thats a z-index issue I think. Do you mean that the menu items show through into the overlay on the lightbox?



If so you need to go into the slimbox.css in the module directory and adjust the z-index of the overlay. I think its the first or second css rule.

I'm having the same problem - I can't get this to work.

I've tried in different modules in the Scroller template, with and without the code added in the header. The link opens in a normal window without navigation.

I've tried in a different template that had no ref to mootools, again, both with and without the code in the head. Both with the same result - the light box opens and tries to load but I never get anything other than the spiral.

Hi everybody,

So I guess I'm a little confused. I have installed the lightbox menu
and am having the same problem that other users were having.

The javascript is that of the regular pop-up window, instead of the
lightbox menu's javascript. I DEFINITELY have the correct module
installed and published.

Someone said that they were able to get it working after installing
on a "live site". Not really sure what that meant... was it a different
server? Different joomla installation?

In any event, I'd really like to get this module working.

Does anyone have any other ideas as to why this module won't function?

I don't have any other instances of Mootools called in the template that
I'm using. I have unpublished any other modules that I have that reference
Mootools, even though that shouldn't make a difference.

Oh... and yes, I have applied the call to Lightbox menu mootools in my template.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a link for me to look at? I just did a completely fresh installation on a site and it worked fine.
